Though I see myself as a photographer, except for occasional projects like product photography and the (very) occasional wedding my earnings have never come from photography. I guess after 50+ years with no significant breaks in a hobby, it’s fair to identify oneself with the subject of the hobby. I also identify as a carpenter since I have been working with wood as a hobby nearly as long as I have been photographing things. I guess technically, I’m a painter as well but my easel is the house and my supplies come from Home Depot.

As you may have guessed, I have no desire to be a teacher, influencer or other subject matter expert. I just want to learn something new and maybe share some things I have learned on the path to here and now.
